The family of Barbara Ann Harris announces that she went to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven on August 19,2023 at Sacramento, California.

Barbara was born September 24,1937 in Hollywood, California to Lois and Edwin Hughes. She was raised in West Los Angeles and graduated from Hamilton High School.

She married Wayne Harris May 6,1967 in Beverly Hills, California. She raised 3 daughters while residing in Los Angeles, San Diego and Sacramento. She enjoyed various volunteer activities which included Camp Fire Girls, singing in the church choir, fundraising for the Christian Legal Society, American Cancer League and President of the Sacramento Symphony League. In recent years she and Wayne enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Scottsdale Arizona and Palm Desert.

She enjoyed interior design and had a flair for making any space beautiful and elegant. She also had a love of cooking and baking and once made over 100 apple pies for a church fundraiser. For 45 years she hosted Sunday dinners for up to 36 family members every week. She loved doting on her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her husband Wayne and daughters Nancy Bouterie (David), Linda Smith (Tim), Julie Musso (Larry). Grandchildren Lisa Nichols (Jeff), Adam Bouterie (Melina), Brent Bouterie ( Niyole),             Mathieu Bouterie, Miles Smith, Melinda Cross ( Tyler), Elijah Smith, Harper Smith, AnnaMarie Bermudez ( Enrique ), Joseph Musso, Marc Musso and Roman Musso. Great Grandchildren Lincoln Nichols, Jackson Nichols, Lola Nichols, Lily Nichols, Nora Nichols, Ethan and Michaela Bouterie, Sean Bouterie, Joelle Bouterie, Madeline Bouterie, Hazel Cross, Scarlett Bermudez and Emilia Bermudez.

Barbara will be remembered for her loving devotion to her family and friends, for her service to her church and her faith in Jesus Christ.

Donations can be made in her honor to the National MS Society.
