Aurora Aganad Agutos, age 92, joined our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ on April 29, 2026. She is now reunited in heaven with the love of her life, Faustino Sr. She was born in Daclapan, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines to Felipe and Brigida (Raquedan) Aganad (both deceased). She graduated from Cabugao Institute in 1953. She lived a very simple, contented life. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, a loving mother and a very caring ‘lola’ or grandma. With a ‘meager budget’ to manage, she was always able to make ends meet. She made sure that there were always warm, nutritious food on the table for her family and friends. She was the youngest of her siblings and had been perceived as ‘spoiled.’ But in reality, she was very compassionate and generous. When her family immigrated here in the USA in 1983, she landed a job at Solectron in San Jose, CA. With a small salary, she was able to help relatives in the Philippines financially. She was always concerned about the well-being and livelihood of her relatives in a province of the Philippines. Through her encouragement and funding, several of her grandnephews and grandnieces completed their college degrees and vocational courses. She was a backseat driver, as she and her husband loved to travel around the state and other states, visiting families and friends. If she was unable to see her relatives in person, she would make every effort to keep in touch with them via the telephone. She and her husband retired in Elk Grove, CA, where they continued to live a simple, contented lifestyle. She developed her home interior decorating hobby by going to her children’s homes, and decorated their houses with her ‘Capa de Monte’ collections from Italy.
She is survived by her children, Anselmo (Anicia), Emsie (Donald), Marina, and Faustino Jr (Ramona); grandchildren, Arnel (Sheemal), Francis Ian (Danielle), Arvie Jan, Rachel Anne, Raiza Mae, Angelo, Anthony, Gabriel Faustino and Stefanie; great-grandchildren, Deondre, Aeyden, Aaliyah, Savannah and Ace; cousin, Carlina; nieces and nephews, many grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews.
