Antonia Laurenzana

Our beloved Sister, Aunt, Great Aunt, Niece, Cousin and friend Antonia (Toni) Laurenzana entered into rest on October 30, 2024. Toni was born January 15,1962 in Sacramento, California to parents Antonio (Tony) and Dolores Laurenzana. She was the second born child of four daughters. 

 Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio (Tony) and Dolores Laurenzana and sister, Anita Laurenzana - Almanza. Toni's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her surviving family members: Julia (Dirk) Williams; Yolanda Rushin; Nicole (Mikal) Samuels; Andrea Almanza; York Rushin III; Michael Helm; Stefanie (Tylor) Johnson; Iyanna Plato; Ileaya Plato; Taylor Samuels; Vanessa Samuels; Evelynn Samuels; King Trujillo; Elijah Samuels; and Miles Johnson.

Toni graduated from Highlands High School in 1980 and went to Sacramento City College to gain her License Vocational Nurse and Registered Nurse (RN) education. She followed her mother’s footsteps and began her nursing career in January 1985. She dedicated over three decades of her life to serving as an Oncology RN at UCD Medical Center. Toni’s compassion and care left an indelible mark on many lives. She was known for her kind, generous, loving, and compassionate nature, traits that endeared her to both her colleagues and patients alike. She enjoyed her nieces and nephews and treated them as if they were her own. Also, Toni enjoyed music and played the piano, clarinet and participated in High School Marching Band competitions.

The family would like to thank all of her caregivers for their compassionate care during the last years of her life.

A celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial, 5757 Greenback Ln, Sacramento CA, 95842.
