Anne Louise Sibley

June 26, 1946 — May 12, 2023

Anne Sibley, a devoted wife, loving mother, and spirited grandmother, peacefully passed away on May 12, 2023. Born in 1946, she embraced each day with love and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on her family and all those fortunate enough to know her.

She was born in San Mateo where she spent part of her childhood and then spent her high school years in Grass Valley where she attended Nevada Union High School.  Anne dedicated herself to raising her children in Citrus Heights, establishing a loving and supportive home that played a pivotal role in their growth and happiness.  She dedicated herself to a career at Kaiser Permanente, serving as a Medical Transcriptionist.  After her children were raised, Anne was blessed to find the love of her life, Bill Sibley. They embarked on a journey together, sharing more than 20 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Anne found solace and joy in nature. She had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the outdoors and cherished the tranquility of the California and Oregon coasts as well as the Mountains.  Anne and Bill took many road trips together.

Additionally, Anne found solace in the serene practice of yoga, which allowed her to nurture both her physical and spiritual well-being. She took great pleasure in knitting, an activity she wholeheartedly enjoyed.  She cherished the company of her friends while engaging in this craft and she made many admired hats.   However, her greatest joy and fulfillment came from the precious moments spent with her beloved grandchildren. Anne poured her love upon them, embracing her inner child and creating cherished memories that will forever endure through the generations.

Anne is survived by her devoted husband, Bill Sibley, who lovingly stood by her side through the highs and lows of life, providing unwavering support and love. She leaves behind her children, Christine (Paul Miller) Janowiak-Miller and Kirk Janowiak, who brought immense pride and joy to her life. Anne is also survived by her stepchildren, Billy (Amber) and Jason (Rose). Sibley, who became an integral part of her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Edwin Gould. Her memory will be forever cherished by her granddaughter, Olivia, as well as her step-grandchildren: Mason, Mia, McKinzie, Sydney, Sawyer, Winter.

A celebration of Anne's life will take place on June 26 at 2:00 PM at East Lawn Mortuary & Sierra Hills Memorial Park, located at 5757 Greenback Ln, Sacramento, CA 95841.

Anne Sibley's kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love will be deeply missed. Her presence touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
