Allen Hayes McCain, Jr. (a.k.a. Buddy) was born in Sacramento, California on August 14, 1965, to the union of mother Rosalee McCain and father Allen Hayes McCain, Sr. Buddy was born into an Air Force Military family, which started his proud beginnings in North Highlands, California.

Buddy graduated from Highlands High School, Class of 1983. He took great pride in being part of the North Highlands community, a close-knit group of family and friends whose bonds remained strong and enduring over the years. After graduating from high school, Buddy pursued higher education for several years, ultimately earning an Associate of Administration degree in Liberal Arts.

Growing up in church, which was a requirement, Buddy developed a deep passion for music. His musical journey began at an early age with playing the drums for various choirs, and a host of many events, eventually, expanding his interests to include the piano, guitar and vinyl turntables.

During the early 1980s, Buddy gained recognition for hosting vibrant block parties and dedicating countless hours to music, always striving for perfection with meticulous focus. He was later a part of developing an iconic 80s Hip Hop group from Sacramento, California, called The Royal Mixxers and Rappin Crew, where he earned the title of "Royal Spinner" for his exceptional skills on the turntables. On September 5, 2023, the City of Sacramento commemorated The Royal Mixxers and Rappin Crew with a Resolution, celebrating their contributions as pioneers of Hip Hop history and culture in Northern California.

In addition to his musical achievements, during the mid-90’s, Buddy developed a passion for the martial arts, which played a significant role in shaping and enhancing his stoic and militant character. Over the course of five years, he trained in Kuk Sool Won, a traditional Korean martial art, achieving the rank of black belt; Buddy took pride in demonstrating and passing on the principles of self-discipline, control, humility, and integrity. Buddy later served the Federal Government as an armed security guard at the Social Security Administration office for over 21 years, fueled by his deep passion for helping others.

Buddy had a deep love for the Lord, which led to his calling to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and became an ordained Minister in the 1990s at New Testament Baptist Church in North Highlands, California. Among the notable moments in his spiritual journey, he officiated his mother’s second marriage and provided heartfelt words of solace at his grandmother's funeral. Wherever he went, he seized every opportunity to share his love for Christ. In recent years, he became known among family and friends for ensuring everyone received daily, weekly or even monthly sermons via email or text messages.

On June 8, 2019, Buddy united in marriage with his soulmate, Shawna Hill. Their connection was unbreakable, as they embraced life wholeheartedly, cherishing adventures through travel, camping, hiking, and treasuring precious moments with family.

Buddy was preceded in death by his mother Rosalee McCain, father Allen Hayes McCain, Sr., grandmother Rephyla Hawkins, and leaves loving memories to his devoted wife, Shawna Hill; children, Allena Woods (Joshua Sr.), Samuel McCain (Jazmin), Benjamin McCain, Kaleya Mayo, Kijana Brown, Daviyone Brown, David Brown IV; sisters Michelle Faulkner and Anjie Dillard; ten grandchildren; nieces (Darchelle & Cherelle), nephew (Denzel) and a host of other family and friends.
